Walkden Sixth Form Centre

The new Learning Resource and specialist Media Centre provides some of the newest learner facilities in the area and allows our learners to access 50 internet workstations, 15,000 books and the latest resources and equipment for e-Learning.

The centre has excellent facilities for vocational training and learning. There is a suite of professional standard Hair and Beauty Salons, a Performing Arts Theatre and a Sports Hall and Fitness Suite.

The centre caters for 16-18 year olds, who have access to a range of enrichment activities, including work related experience, learner support and careers advice and guidance.

Each learner is assigned a "Learning Coach", who provides support and guidance to ensure everyone achieves their full potential.

The site has curriculum based Learning Centres and IT provision.

Walkden railway station is just two minutes walk from Walkden Sixth Form Centre. Trains run regularly from Manchester Victoria, Salford Crescent, Salford Central, Swinton, Atherton, Daisy Hill, Hindley and Wigan Wallgate.
