Lesbian and Gay Support Association Visit Public Services
Students studying Public Services at the Worsley Centre have been involved in research into how the uniformed public services create a diverse workforce and combat discrimination within it. Several services have visited the students and engaged in formal and informal discussion sessions and lectures.
Stewart Barton is from the Lesbian and Gay Support Association and his visit tied-in very well with the studnets' research and provided an excellent area of study for their individual evaluation, especially with regards to sexuality and sexual orientation subjects.
Stewart Barton's open and informative knowledge and experience in this area not only covered delicate subjects, but broke down a few barriers with the students.
The work being submitted from these sessions are already proving to be subjective and well rounded. This is a direct linked to all the outside lecturers input, which definately includes Stewart's work.
